Design Army Launches Aquatic Couture | Arts & Culture
With the help of Design Army’s creative genius, Karla Colletto's Cruise 2013 Swim Collection creates a splash
With a crew of 20+, Design Army literally went underwater to direct the filming of the featurette for the Cruise 2013 Swim Collection by Karla Colletto, taking branding to a new level and unleashing the cruise control for a swimwear line that has seen international growth over the past seven years.
"It's about building relationships with our clients," says Pum Lefebure, Design Army's co-owner and creative director. "We're always thinking ahead, how we can elevate our clients up to the next level. We create partnerships and think for our clients when it comes to branding."
Filming models underwater wearing Colletto's swimsuits was the next step for the line, Lefebure adds. "It creates Aquatic Couture." While this concept was on the table for a while, this year was the time to make it happen, especial with social media at its height.
Videos bring a new dimension to customer engagement, says Lefebure, who was just named one of the Most Lusted After Ad Executives by Rival Companies by Business Insider. It takes brand awareness up a notch, especially for swimwear where one can see how the bathing suit moves with the woman in the water. The beauty of the suit's detailing and stitching is apparent, while one witnesses its functionality firsthand.
With a collection that fits all shapes and sizes, Colletto has designed suits for celebrities such as Oprah and understands that most women dislike the process of trying on swimwear. With the help of the video directed by Design Army, women across America get a beautiful introduction to the new line and witness the intricacies that make all the difference.
Colletto's new swimwear line can be purchased at Bergdorf Goodman and Net-A-Porter, among other locations. For more information, go to @designarmy and @karlacolletto. To view the video, go to http://www.karlacolletto.com/swim/ or http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Z9sPRc3dUeI.
