Police Arrest Man for White Oak Sears Burglary

 

The following information was sent to us by Montgomery County Police:

On December 5, 2011 at approximately 12:34 a.m. 3rd District officers responded to the Sears store located at 11255 New Hampshire Avenue (White Oak Shopping Center) for the report of a commercial alarm activation.  Sears surveillance cameras revealed that an unknown male was in the store while it was closed.  After extensive searching and monitoring of store cameras by police, the suspect was observed on video in the basement of Sears.  At approximately 12:30 p.m. on December 5, 2011, the suspect was apprehended by police as he exited the Sears.  The suspect is identified as Daniel Ezeikial Grant (also known as Daniel Ezekel Grant), age 29, of the 4200 block of Dunwood Terrace in Burtonsville.

Police Search for Missing 13-Year-Old Silver Spring Girl

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Family Crimes Division and 3rd District officers are seeking the public's help in locating a missing juvenile from Silver Spring.

 

            Erika Munoz, age 13, of the 1000 block of Ruatan Street in Silver Spring, was last seen at approximately 5:00 p.m. on November 28, 2011, at her home.   

 

            Erika is described as a Hispanic female, 5'6" tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds.  She has brown eyes and long black hair.  She has silver and pink braces on her teeth and pierced ears.  She was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue pants, and black ankle-high tennis shoes.  

 

            Police and family are concerned for her wellbeing because of her age.

Four witnesses were called to the stand by the Prosecutor on Tuesday, inluding a forensic specialist, an expert in shoe print identification, Detective James Drewry who was one of two lead detectives on the case and Phyllis Murray, Jayna Murray's mother. The afternoon session began promptly at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in the the lululemon murder trial where Brittany Norwood faces 1st degree murder charges in the slaying of her co-worker, Jayna Murray in the Bethesda lululemon yoga store on March 11.

The State's Prosecutor called three witnesses to the stand on Tuesday in the lululemon murder trial in Rockville where Brittany Norwood faces 1st degree murder charges after co-worker, Jayna Murray was found beaten to death in the Bethesda Lululemon yoga store on March 11.

The three witnesses included: a forensic specialist, an expert in shoe print identification, and Detective James Drewry who was one of two lead detectives on the case.
