January is open enrollment for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States individual health insurance policies for children.  During January, these two companies will offer policies for children age 18 and under with no exclusions for preexisting conditions.  This is an opportunity for those families that do not have access to family policies to find coverage for their children.
